Note:

Wayne Hewlett claims to have received a letter from his father, Raymond Hewlett in December 2009 and yet in April 2010 it was reported that the Hewlett family was unaware of Raymond's death.

Wayne claims that the letter did not come in the mail, but was delivered by a "mystery man", in other words the  identity of the person delivering it cannot be determined.

Wayne Hewlett said that he burned the letter, therefore the contents cannot be verified as having come from Raymond Hewlett nor can the claim Wayne makes that his father heard a confession from a gipsy be verified.

Therefore any future news reports or statements from the McCanns regarding Madeleine having been taken by gipsies and sold to a wealthy couple will be solely based on Wayne Hewlett's alleged letter.

The burning of the letter and the delivery by way of "mystery man" makes the claim impossible to verify.

So it is Wayne Hewlett now, up against the mountain of evidence that Maddie died in the apartment and the McCanns and their friends hid her body, set up a fraudulent fund and attempted to destroy Dr. Goncalo Amaral's career and reputation.

A letter, now ashes, an unidentifiable letter deliverer and a claim that the gipsie's took Madeleine.  There are NO cases in Portugal of children stolen by gipsies.

The PJ need to investigate Wayne Hewlett ASAP and reopen the Madeleine McCann case, based on this "new evidence".

Allison McGarrigle, taken from us trying to protect a young boy from abuse

This lady is, in my opinion, yet another victim in the long list of people who have been USED by the McCanns to divert attention away from the Portuguese police files, the videos of Eddie and Keela at work in Praia da Luz, the Smith sighting, etc.

Because it angered me so much to see Allison's memory disgraced in this way - specifically in the article "LIFE FOR MURDER PAEDO WANTED BY MADDIE TECS" written by Antonella Lazzeri, who "buried" information about Allison in the article, I wanted to take a little time to acknowledge this good woman and tried to find what I could about her.

How things *do* change...

I am still attempting to find anything credible that even remotely links Charles O'Neill to Madeleine McCann.  It certainly appears as though every article written about the "potential" link stems from a few that came directly from the pen of Antonella Lazzeri.

( I'd like to give a "hats off" to the majority of journalists who reported the conviction of O'Neill in a straightforward and professional way.  Reading through them, it is absolutely clear that O'Neill targeted BOYS.  Very few reporters mentioned Madeleine or Portugal... perhaps 2 or 3 at the most...)

I found it interesting to compare the following two articles written by Antonella Lazzeri and published on June 11, 2010 in The Sun. I cannot find the article on the left online, however, the text was archived on the Factiva database. The article on the right is published on The Sun's website.

Journalism in the Age of McCann

Recently I've been looking into the background of reporters who have written extremely biased articles about the McCann case.

I started by refreshing my understanding about the role of journalism in society. EthicNet, provides a collection of codes of journalism ethics in Europe. The Code of Conduct for the United Kingdom was adopted by the National Union of Journalists in 2007. The NUJ's Code of Conduct has set out the main principles of British and Irish journalism since 1936, it was updated in 2007.

According to Antonella Lazzeri, Ithaisa Suarez was told by Spanish police investigating the disappearance of her son, Yeremi Vargas that  "they believe Maddie and Yeremi may have been targets of the same gang."

Also, according to Lazzeri, Suarez said Charles O'Neill "was interviewed by police looking for Yeremi. They found no evidence."

I find it interesting that there are a number of people who are apparently also displeased with the reporters covering the McCann case; specifically Antonella Lazzeri.  Although I'm not in contact with others blogging about the case (other than the occasional "way to go!" or whatever...), I think many of us are on the same "wavelength" simply because the "wavelength" is the logical path to follow...

What I am saying is that although I don't communicate with other bloggers on a personal level, I think that the wavelength riders are (at least in part) reacting as I have to the most recent attempts by Lazzeri to link Charles O'Neill to the abduction of Madeleine McCann.   (...continued...)

A girl the double of Madeleine McCann shouted "Help me!" in English as she was dragged out of a hotel in Austria, police files have revealed. A tourist couple who had already commented on how much the child looked like missing Maddie were stunned when she cried out as a "tubby" man hurried her away. The couple, visitors from Norway, rushed outside to look for the man and girl but they had abruptly vanished.

Austrian cops sent a list of all the guests then staying at the hotel to their counterparts probing Maddie's disappearance in Portugal — but NOTHING was done. The report is one of many buried away in a huge mountain of official Portuguese police files obtained this week by The Sun.

THIS little girl's rag doll could have been given to Madeleine McCann by those who snatched her, investigators believe. The cuddly plaything was among evidence suggesting Maddie was held at a remote house — but Portuguese cops abandoned the line of inquiry.

Private detectives hired by the missing tot's parents Kate and Gerry found the white bungalow in an orange orchard outside Silves, Portugal, after trailing a woman seen earlier with a Maddie lookalike. They staked the place out and spotted the doll and a child's drawing. Portuguese police on the Maddie case were tipped off, but the McCanns camp claim they did not fully investigate.

In keeping with the excellent *balanced* reporting the media has given the McCann case...here is a list of examples of the headlines related to Goncalo Amaral - describing his transfer from the Madeleine case in one or more of the following terms: "FIRED, SACKED, BOOTED-OUT, KICKED-OFF, AXED" (etc.)

I have studied these as I've compiled the lists, and must admit that there has been absolutely NO evidence of unbiased reporting in the case of Madeleine McCann.  It is, in my opinion, an insult to the British public that journalists do not have enough respect for their readers to stick to the facts and to avoid sensationalism or spin.  Apparently ethics no longer exist in the news media.  (Thank God for the Internet.)

What Brit 'Cracker' told cops hunting Maddie

A CRACKER-style criminal profiler helping the hunt for Madeleine McCann told Portuguese police it was right to suspect her parents, it was claimed yesterday.

Brit expert Lee Rainbow worked with cops to build a picture of the tot's kidnapper.

And yesterday a court in Lisbon heard he had told officers they should "consider the possible involvement of the family" in the little girl's disappearance, The startling revelation came at a hearing where ex-police chief Goncalo Amaral is trying to overturn a ban on his book about three year-old Maddie's disappearance from a holiday apartment in 2007.

Amaral's lawyer Antonio Cabrita said Mr Rainbow urged cops to focus on parents Kate and Gerry, of Rothley, Leics.

Mr Cabrita said his report claimed: "The family is a lead that should be followed. The contradictions in Gerald McCann's statement might lead us to suspect a homicide. And this is a lead that should be investigated."
